There are people who, regardless of age, always remain children at heart. And no matter how old they are, they see the world as bright, iridescent, magical - exactly the way it seemed to all of us in childhood. Rose Skinner belongs to just such a category of people, and she gladly shares her colorful world with others.
Although Rose Skinner has long passed the age when playing with dolls, her installations are a real dream for every child, because the author takes materials for his works in toy and pastry shops. Plastic toy soldiers and fancy dolls mixed with sweets, chewing gum and all kinds of sweets. Why are there children - not all adults can resist Rose's delightful installations. The author says with a smile that at the end of her exhibitions she often misses out on small toys or sweets: they are secretly carried away by children in their pockets and fists.
“My intricate compositions of eclectic materials play an excruciating game with your senses. You are attacked by colors and textures, sounds and smells, metaphors and iconography, in which I often put a bit of irony,”- this is how Rosa Skinner describes her installations.
Rose Skinner was born in the Australian city of Kalgoorlie in 1983. He currently lives and works in Perth, Western Australia. The author already has two educations - in the field of graphic design and sculpture; in addition, Rose is currently studying philosophy as a student at the Western Australian School of Philosophy. In addition to installations, the girl also creates photographs and sculptures that are just as bright and colorful. More information about the author is on the website.
