Going in for active sports, including bodybuilding, is a very popular pastime in the modern world. Moreover, every year "iron pumps" more and more people. Here is a surreal world in which only bodybuilders live, and created by the photographer Kurt Stallaert in a series of his works Bodybuilder's World.
Bodybuilders are a special type of person who is willing to spend a huge amount of time and effort to endlessly improve their body proportions. They have a special schedule of life, a special diet, special views of the world. And Portland-based photographer Kurt Stallert even figured out how a world in which only bodybuilders live should look like. He portrayed him in his series of works called Bodybuilder's World.
According to the views of Kurt Stallert, in the bodybuilding world, even children are engaged in bodybuilding - they have impressive muscle volumes and a very noticeable, beautiful relief. Handsome as for adults, but not as for children.
In a series of works Bodybuilder's World, Kurt Stallert ridicules the obsession of people with their appearance, the boundless desire to improve something in it, which, at times, goes far beyond the boundaries of common sense.
Moreover, photographs from the Bodybuilder's World series show not only modernity. Some of them are stylized as photographs of ten, thirty or even a century ago. This gives a hint that a similar problem has always existed, way and not in such an exaggerated form as in our days!
The Bodybuilder's World series is, on the one hand, a warning to Humanity about its obsession with appearance, and on the other, an excellent advertisement for gyms, worthy of being reviewed.

The oldest residential buildings still inhabited: Where are these buildings and what they look like?
Many ancient cities and houses are known in the world, but the overwhelming majority of them have survived to this day either in the form of ruins or in a greatly altered form. And very few of these buildings and settlements were able to retain their original appearance and remain inhabited. It is very difficult to identify the most ancient of them, but nevertheless such attempts are constantly being made. The oldest residential buildings in the world are very attractive, because they are silent witnesses of a century or even a thousand years of history
What bodybuilders were called in the USSR and for what sports they were imprisoned
Sports games - what could be more apolitical? - bring people together, help to find like-minded people, take time and, finally, do, as in the song "a healthy mind in a healthy body." However, the authorities in the Soviet Union looked at this differently: they believed that even a sport could become an ideological enemy, capable of negatively affecting the morality of a citizen of the country
What the first ladies bodybuilders looked like: Photos of Wonder Women of the Last Century
The beginning of the 20th century was marked by many significant events, and one of these was the departure from the stereotype of a weak and dependent woman. In different countries, there were ladies who were no longer satisfied with the famous German rule of three Ks: "Kinder, Kuche, Kirche" (children, kitchen, church). Thanks to the first athletes, strong, independent personalities began to enter fashion, who, if necessary, could stand up for themselves. The fact that now sometimes you want to return a little femininity to the weaker sex is already different

Inhabited island: an Irish monastery away from the hustle and bustle of the world
Among the proverbs collected by V. Dahl, there is one that reflects the full depth of religious feeling: "God is not in logs, but in ribs." A striking example of a real ascetic existence is a monastery located on Skellig Michael Island, 15 km off the coast of Ireland. There are no "logs" and the usual church luxury - only stone cells in which Christian monks lived far from the bustle of the world
