His eldest son George became addicted to tranquilizers, and in 1973 he stabbed himself several times in the stomach. The wounds were not fatal, then George drank a large amount of sleeping pills. The youngest son Paul and his wife began to use drugs, and soon the daughter-in-law of the oil tycoon died of a heroin overdose. One of Getty's grandchildren was kidnapped and maimed by the kidnappers in order to expedite the payment of the ransom.

The third son of the oil tycoon, Gordon, was in litigation with his father during his lifetime, demanding payment of almost $ 50 million from the family money.

Romanovs

According to legend, the Romanov family was cursed by the wife of two False Dmitrys, Marina Mnishek.
