Koons is one of the brightest representatives of the neo-pop direction, and all his work is embodied kitsch. The artist gained wide recognition back in the 80s, but today he is the president of the New York corporation Jeff Koons LLC, where a whole staff of employees is already working on translating Koons' ideas.

The incredible sculpture Split-Rocker (over eleven meters in height) weighs 150 tons and is a giant rocking toy, consisting of two halves. The first is inspired by the rocking horse of Koons' son, the second - by his toy dinosaur. The sculpture exists in only two copies, one of which belongs to the author, while the other is in the collection of the American businessman and great collector of contemporary art Mitchell Rales.

Split-Rocker was first exhibited in 2000 in France, at the Palais des papes d'Avignon (French Palais des papes d'Avignon) at the Palais des Papes in Avignon. The complex structure consisted of a steel frame, soil and special geotextile. In addition, it was equipped with an internal irrigation system. Of course, all these technical nuances were hidden under a carpet of fresh flowers, where, among others, one could admire begonias, marigolds and geraniums.

Jeff Koons was born in Pennsylvania in 1955 to an interior designer and seamstress. At school, looking to earn his first pocket money, Jeff sold wrapping paper and candy. This was followed by a school at the Art University of Chicago and Maryland College, where the future master studied the basics of painting. Meeting with the artist Ed Paschke and passion for Salvador Dali, largely determined the direction of Koons' work.
