Every girl in her childhood loved play with crystals, mirrors and other shiny stones. For some, in adulthood, this hobby grew into a love of jewelry, and for a Dutch artist Suzan Dummen - into an unusual kind of creativity.
Unlike many other artists who create works using super popular and untwisted crystals from Swarovski as a material, Susan Drumman uses much simpler stones - ordinary tinted glass and shards of mirrors.
However, her works often look much more interesting than those of Swarovski lovers. The fact is that Susan creates fairly large-scale works, each of which consists of tens of thousands of various elements.
Susan Drumman herself compares her works with kaleidoscopes. And, indeed, such a parallel suggests itself, because in both cases, multi-colored glass and mirrors are used.
While creating her works, Drummen tried to achieve such a visual effect that from the outside these works looked organized and neat, but upon closer examination, the viewer could see how complex, fragile and vulnerable the structure is in front of him.
Susan Drummen's work is currently on display in major contemporary art museums in the Netherlands and beyond. The artist also creates works by order, adding precious metals and stones to glass structures in such cases.

Crystal tourism from Swarovski and the Blue Noses art group
The Swarovski Kristallwelten Museum (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) has existed in Austria for fifteen years already, which is, in fact, a demonstration of the achievements and capabilities of this world famous company. For example, it is there that there is a chandelier made of a quarter of a million crystals. And this year a series of works under the general title "Home Videos" from the Russian art group "Blue Noses" appeared in this museum

The wanderings of the crystal ball. Original art project by photographer Kees Straver
All the most fascinating stories usually begin with the words "one day", "once" or "one day." This is how the curious story of Kees Straver, a medical laboratory assistant by profession and an amateur photographer at heart, began. One fine day, he absentmindedly twisted a crystal ball in his hands, which usually lay on his table, and suddenly thought, why not use this very ball in his photographs? He did not think for a long time - and
A school with no walls, no desks, and no cramming: Why outdoor lessons are gaining popularity in New Zealand
Schools with no walls, no bells ringing and no exhausting discipline, where the director is not called into the office, where boring calculations and tasks are replaced by practical research, have been gaining popularity in recent years, and even a pandemic cannot prevent this. The world is changing - so quickly that parents are forced to think about adjusting the educational program of their children, and a return to origins, to nature, to an environment where one can hear and understand oneself ceases to be something exotic
