Provocative non-conformist artist Yoan Capote we are already familiar with his imaginatively thoughtful sculptures, with which the young Cuban participated in international exhibitions, including the VII Havana Biennale of Contemporary Arts. A couple of years ago, the artist made people talk about himself again, and this was due to the fact that the world saw a new work of a talented master: a seascape Isla (Seascape)created from 500,000 fishing hooks … A hammer and nails, a bag of fishing hooks, some paint and a huge sheet of plywood - these are the main tools of the author and his 30 assistants, without which he could hardly manage. A separate ingredient on the list is "artist's blood", but this detail was probably an impromptu, and not a previously conceived act of "sacrifice."
Looking at the landscape from afar, you might think that this is just a photograph of a calm open sea, but as you approach, the secret of the realism of the seascape is revealed. Even with thirty assistants, it took Ioan Capote a month of many hours of daily work to complete this fishhook fresco.
Surely grumblers and cynics will not consider the seascape of hooks and nails a creative masterpiece. Say, it's useless, you can't hang it in an apartment, and the artistic value is questionable … But those who liked this kind of creativity can consider this work and other art projects on Yoan Capote's website.

Russian beach fashion and etiquette: How our grandmothers and great-grandmothers rested by the sea
The sea remains unchanged from year to year, and it is safe to assume that in ancient times the inhabitants of the coast were spoiled by the same waves as now, the sun was shining just as brightly, warming the coastal waters, and the blue-green water also beckoned to swim. But bathing etiquette and beach fashion have changed very radically over the past couple of hundred years, and our grandmothers and great-grandmothers would be amazed at how different modern beaches are from what they are used to
The man and the sea. Ran Orther's incredible portraits of the sea
Returning to stories about the power of inspiration that nature gives to a creative person, one cannot fail to mention the role of the four elements. At Cultural Studies, we often write about masterpieces, both dedicated to these elements, and those born under their influence, for example, about "natural" decorations, stunning photographs of fireworks, ocean waves and seascapes. So the artist Ran Orther, in love with the beauty of the sea and its changeable character, will be an excellent company to the authors already mentioned

The world that surrounds you and me is beautiful. And it is beautiful to such an extent that almost any thing that comes to hand can be an ornament, the main thing is to correctly arrange and present it.
