New York artist Jordan Eagles creativity is given by sweat and blood. And if the artist has his own sweat, then the blood with which his incredible paintings are painted, he takes at the slaughterhouse. Performing various manipulations with it - baking, evaporating, aging, mixing with copper and other substances, the artist turns blood into a creative material for creating his abstract paintings. Blood is life, and blood outside a living body is death. The artist works between life and death in the literal sense of the word. His paintings are not even drawings, but installations, since they are reservoirs filled with blood that has undergone one or another treatment. In one tank, it looks thick and viscous, crimson in color, in the other - liquid and pale pink, in the third it looks like brown sand. Using reservoirs with blood of different densities, Jordan gets a unique opportunity to form multi-layered abstract paintings, and the result of such work is impossible to predict.
Additional emotionality to amazing pictures is given by lighting, more precisely, backlighting, which adds drama to them. The works of Jordan Eagles look very picturesque in the semi-dark hall of the gallery, illuminated by a source of directional light.
However, despite the peculiarity of bloody creativity, exhibitions and galleries of this artist are very popular with connoisseurs of non-standard art. Learn more about Jordan Eagles' work on his website.
