More than 125 tons of clay and about 15 years of his life was spent by the sculptor Antony Gormley to your mega-scale art project. Installation by the author titled The field is a gigantic field filled with hundreds of thousands of clay figurines. And although these figures are not an accurate depiction of the human body, they carry deep philosophical meaning. In his project The Field, Anthony Gormley uniquely and artistically presented the author's point of view on the origin of the world and its development. The author claims that working with people and for people, he wants his art to be something more than just a beautiful sight, so that it reminds people of responsibility for their future and for the world in which we live. The world that we form, because it consists of you and me.
A field of clay figures occupies the entire room in which the exhibition is taking place. This time 40 thousand clay figures were housed in the halls of the British College St. Helen's College. The installation therefore received the appropriate name: Field For The British Isles.
By the way, such a field of clay figures first appeared 15 years ago, for which the author enlisted the help of one hundred volunteer apprentices and used 25 tons of clay.
