The unusual house, which is part of the "The World Stands on its Head" program, was built by Polish designers Klaudiusz Golos and Sebastian Mikiciuk. Similar houses were created earlier, however, they were limited only to external decoration. In the same building, not only the walls are upside down, but the entire interior furnishings.
Although it seems that living in such a house upside down is quite amusing, it is better to enter it with an empty stomach. The building was being built as a tourist attraction, and workers were rotated every three hours due to bouts of seasickness starting in the tilted, upside-down structure.
The house was built in the German town of Trassenheid, which is located on the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea, a few kilometers from the border with Poland. Since September 2008, the house has opened its doors to tourists. People who visited it say that they felt dizzy and lost orientation in space. Chairs, tables, carpets - everything is nailed to the ceiling. Even the bathroom is upside down!
You can enter the house through the attic, and then go up the stairs to the first floor. The staircase, by the way, is the only element of an unusual building that is not upside down, otherwise the visitors simply could not walk on it.
Klaudiusz Golos and Sebastian Mikichuk built the house with their own funds, as it turned out to be very difficult to find sponsors, according to the designers. And although the creators claim that the upside-down house is absolutely safe and it is quite possible to live in it, of course, no one is going to do this. But tourists are delighted!
According to the authors of the project, they did not create an upside-down house for any serious purpose, but just wanted to do something unusual.
