Everyone who has ever had the opportunity to visit an exhibition of the artist Sam Taylor-Wood is impressed for a long time. Beautiful and complex - this is a short description of the work of this British author. And it's not just the works that we see as a result - it's also about the process of their creation. To the artist's credit, she herself very often poses for her photographs, so she knows firsthand what kind of sacrifices beauty requires.

External beauty Sam Taylor-Wood is no different. However, you forget about it, you just have to look at her work and read her biography. So, relatively recently, Samantha underwent two difficult courses of treatment for cancer, but this, according to her, even more tempered her character. Apparently, this is why there is so much shocking and expression in Sam's works. What are the photo projects called "Crying Men", in which she captured famous actors, athletes, politicians and musicians as vulnerable and vulnerable as no one has seen before. However, now I want to draw your attention to another famous project of Samantha from the series of "floating" self-portraits. More precisely, into two projects: "Escape Artist" and, in fact, "Self Portrait Suspended".

As the photographer herself said, in order to create these projects, she needed to hang herself from the ceiling on special belts and bandages, and hang between the floor and the ceiling for a long time. And this is very uncomfortable and painful - the very sacrifices for the sake of beauty, which is obtained later. Of course, "then" all these belts and pendants were carefully sketched on a computer, and as a result we see the artist's slender body, helplessly hanging in the air on balloons, or even without any support. By the way, back in 1997 at the Venice Biennale in Sam Taylor-Wood saw talent and was named the most promising young artist.
