Young, humble and successful, John Gettings demonstrates an amazing sense of style and his unique vision of the model with his collection of polaroid photographs.
It is nice to know that there are still many young talented photographers in the world who, by some happy coincidence, or perhaps thanks to persistence and dedication, achieve both a decent salary and recognition of the general public - let's recall, for example, the Vietnamese photographer Min Htike Aung and its oriental beauty. John Gettings, who “lives and works in New York” - and it is this phrase that is limited to information about him on the official website of the photographer - is now moving up the career ladder, maybe not by leaps and bounds, but very broad steps.
In his polaroid series, consisting of 24 frames and more, there is something vintage. Apparently, this has to do with the models' outfits and the way John Gettings portrays them in his works - an amazing sense of style that the owners of Gallery B studio, located in the village of Sag Harbor in the New York area, appreciated. His first real exhibition will take place there from 5 to 25 August.
The young photographer's website contains not only a number of photos and an email, but also a phone number. If you liked his work, you can try tinkling - who knows, maybe the guy will be glad to have a kind word. Or constructive criticism.
