While little children draw the sun and clouds on the asphalt with colored crayons, and their older comrades display formulas and equations on the blackboard, adult uncles and aunts use these crayons for other no less noble purposes. So, we already wrote about the sculptures created by Herb Williams (Herb Williams). And today on the agenda are paintings by Christian Faur, who does not paint them with crayons, but lays them out like a mosaic.
To create one picture, an artist needs several tens of thousands (!) Of hand-carved wax crayons of various colors and shades. And all this adds up to stunning landscapes, portraits, or simply beautiful and sometimes mysterious patterns, which can be multi-colored or black and white, like photographs. The only difference is that Christian Fauer's works are exclusively the fruit of his imagination, and their scale is so-called plus-size.
Paintings lined with colorful crayons are as addictive as putting together puzzles. A pair is sought for each piece, then the pairs are united into a company, and the companies - into one huge crowd, in which everyone is in their place, everyone has their own role in this game. Only if the script for the puzzle actors is written in advance, in our case the stage director is a screenwriter, a make-up artist, and a costume designer … And just an artist.
By the way, Christian Faur was awarded the unofficial title "Mister Balance" for his ability to combine in one whole a variety of colors and shades, among which there are both muted and calm, and bright, flashy ones. On the Faura website, you can see a complete gallery of amazing paintings in this unique style.
