2024 Author: Richard Flannagan | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-12-15 23:55
Brian Olsen's Art in Action is a spectacular show that combines color, energy, music and passion. Using the tips of his fingers, palms, elbows and up to three hands in each hand, the artist creates portraits of various people, famous and not so, in just a few minutes in front of amazed spectators.
Brian has always had a passion for art and at the beginning of his career was engaged in photography and landscape painting. But the turning point in his career can be called 1998, when the author became an assistant to the artist Danny Dent, the famous master of speed painting. For six years, Brian studied Dent's techniques and styles, until he finally began showing performances on his own. Danny Dent passed away in 2004 and it should be noted that Brian Olsen is his only student and follower.
Among the heroes of the artist's paintings from Colorado are famous actors, athletes, musicians, political leaders, as well as heads of corporations, where Brian is often invited to various presentations and events. The author's unique performance is popular all over the world: from the west to the east coast of the United States and from Western Europe to the Middle East.
“I brought art out of the studio onto the stage because I want to make people get distracted and capture the moment. All I am trying to do is to light a spark in the audience, to give the audience a moment of creativity in its purest form,”says the artist.
Each performance by Brian Olsen is not just a spectacular show and entertainment. According to the author, his works should inspire people for creativity and self-expression. Any artist's performance has a simple appeal: “Be yourself, be creative and don't lose your potential. You never know in advance what you might find. But whatever it is, do it with all your heart."
