Self-taught photographer Stoffel De Roover takes amazing pictures. Playing with smoke and experimenting with light, Stoffel De Roover gives the smoke a bizarre shape, drawing slender women, scary and evil aliens, prehistoric birds, and other creatures that our imagination can consider.
While creating his “smoke” photographs, the artist also experiments with additional techniques of mirror reflection, adding color, which gives a “zest” to the picture, and from which the result is quite interesting and sometimes unpredictable.
“Photography is my passion and my addiction. It allows me to enjoy the beauty of things and share with other people what I see, or how I see it,”says Stoffel De Roover.
Stoffel's pictures were published in the English photo magazine SNAP. The master of smoke masterpieces has twice won PhotographyBlog contests for macro photography and shadow photography. Originally from Belgium, 29-year-old photographer Stoffel De Roover currently lives and works in Montreal, Canada. Prior to that, he studied in France, and even earlier he delighted the Netherlands and Michigan, USA with his creativity.
