Making a feature-length movie about Tom and Jerry is not the first attempt to connect live actors and cartoon characters of Tom and Jerry. Back in 2003, a similar short video was shot. It was an ad for a Ford Mondeo that can be found and watched on YouTube.
The Tom and Jerry animation franchise includes hundreds of short cartoons. Each episode lasts only a few minutes. The first cartoon was called "The Cat Gets a Kick" and was released in 1940. It was created by Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, and was blessed by producer Fred Quimby. From this cartoon, the story, beloved by all, began.
The essence of each episode is that Tom is trying to catch Jerry the mouse, but due to the circumstances, he cannot do this, he always gets into trouble. Sometimes Jerry himself and his companions set up these troubles. The great popularity of the first episodes of the cartoon is associated with the musical accompaniment, on which the composer Scott Bradley worked. The thought comes after it becomes clear that the first episodes of the animated series have been more successful compared to the new stories of the restless couple.
