Danish photographer Peter Funch, based in New York, has done a tremendous job, collecting about 28 images - stereotypes, which were taken at different times during the day. A tremendous amount of work has been done to show that in a day people make the same judgments, voice similar thoughts, smile and feel surprise from the same events at the same time, even move and dress the same way.
All people are alike. This is the postulate that photographer Peter Funch is guided by in his work. His latest photography project, Babel Tales, is a series that focuses on human relationships and behavior in big cities. Dane's photography specifically explores human resemblance and collective behavior.
For 10-14 days, photographer Peter Funch took pictures in twelve different streets of New York. Each street had its own atmosphere, energy and mood, which influenced the creation of unusual and completely non-fictional scenes and situations, which the author conveys through his works. We must pay tribute to the author for his patience and keen eye, you really need to be an attentive person in order to notice and catch similar situations in which people find themselves, a similar facial expression, the same clothes in color and style. Just unbelieveble!
The name of the project itself is also interesting - “Babel Tales”. The legend of the Tower of Babel immediately comes to mind, when humanity was represented by one people who spoke the same language and were driven by one goal - to build a high Tower of Babel. The construction of the tower was interrupted by God, who "mixed" the language of people, because of which they ceased to understand each other, could not continue the construction of the city and the tower, and were scattered throughout the earth. Judging by the photographs of Peter Funch, not all the similarities of people have been lost. And it pleases.
