The debate about whether Charles Darwin's concept that the immediate predecessors of humans were humanoid apes is true continues to this day. A series of works by a Dutch photographer Jasper doest - this is another argument in favor of the fact that evolution could follow this path. Look at these wonderful Japanese macaques, they really look so human!
Japanese macaques also known as snow monkeys … Despite this "winter" name, they are very thermophilic, therefore they prefer to warm up in the hot springs of Nagano in the cold season. In fact, this is a perfect example of how animals have adapted to their environment through their intellectual abilities. According to the photographer's observations, over the past decades, the life of macaques has changed a lot, and they have adapted to the surrounding aquatic environment.
Monkey fonts attract many tourists who are not averse to admiring the unique natural phenomenon and taking some funny pictures. By the way, professional photographs of snow monkeys have repeatedly been included in the National Geographic's selection of the best photographs.
Photos from Jasper Doest are distinguished by a special intimacy: the photographer has made a lot of efforts to capture not only the bathing process, but also the peculiarities of animal relationships. So, you can see examples of sincere maternal love, when a macaque hugs a baby, there are also photographs of monkey winter entertainment in the series. Particularly successful is the shot in which a monkey emerging from the water looks directly into the camera. A touching and sincere photo - handprints in the snow.
Jasper Doest admits that he loves to observe nature, he emphasizes that everyone is in her debt, because photography for him is one of the ways to give something in return. But indeed, such pictures can remind people of the diversity and beauty of flora and fauna that (still) surround us.
