On November 9, 2010, the first All-Russian exhibition "The Art of Modern Embroidery" was opened in Tver.
The exposition of the exhibition represents the Tree of Life - the Tree of our culture.
The halls contain items of stunning beauty and craftsmanship - towels, paths, panels, costumes with folk ornaments, church embroidery, gold embroidery, paintings, hats, embroidered boots and much more.
Almost everything that we see at the exhibition is the continuation and preservation of the traditions of national folk art. Endless repetitions of the same ornaments, copying, arrangement and cutting of the same thoughts. Contemporary authors act as carriers of the Russian embroidery culture of the 17-19th century.
Of the contemporary at the exhibition, only the works of Olga Nosenko and embroidery, made under the direction of Tamara Shalchuvienė.
And yet the exhibition took place. And we have never seen such an exhibition!
