In early May 1945, Soviet troops approached Prague, and then the local residents began an armed uprising against the German fascist invaders. Fierce battles were raging on the streets of the Czech capital. The fascists tried to crush the patriots at all costs. But the inhabitants of Prague, exhausted in an unequal battle, did not give up, piously believing that help from the Red Army would definitely come. And they were not wrong.
