Video: Glowing Photos by Daniel Buetti

The work of photographer Daniele Buetti grabs the viewer's attention from the very first moment. There is nothing surprising in this: after all, they glow - both in the literal and figurative sense of the word!
Some of Daniel Buetti's photographs show models with a particular phrase written next to them in glowing letters. The photographer approaches the choice of phrases very carefully, and they often contrast with the glamorous appearance of the models. These inscriptions express our human desire to love and be loved ("Take me home", "I want you to be here"), or touch on more philosophical points ("Is it psychologically harmful for us that we destroy things that we consider beautiful ? ")
Other photographs do not contain any inscriptions at all, but they are no less striking, and perhaps even more than the previous ones. A girl whose eyes are pouring paths of soft light. Hands, where the fingertips emit that very soft, enchanting light. Simple plots, but the effect is amazing: you immediately plunge into the fragile and quivering world of magic and wonders.
Many are interested in the technology with which Daniel Buetti creates his photographs. The assumptions are very different, but in fact everything is ridiculously simple. The author takes a thin needle and pierces hundreds of neat holes in the right places of the photographs. Then the photographs are placed in lightboxes (panels glowing from the inside, carrying an advertising story or other information). Light breaks through the holes in the image - and each image takes on a new meaning, filled with a soft glow.
Daniel Buetti was born in 1956 in Freiburg, Switzerland. He works in a variety of fields, including photography, video, sound, painting, sculpture, and digital processing. His works are presented in public collections in Berlin, Valencia, Paris, Seoul, Madrid and other cities. Since 2004 Daniel has been a professor at the Academy of Arts in Münster (Germany). The author currently lives and works in Zurich and Münster.

Sculptures - "trick" Daniel Arsham (Daniel Arsham)
Readers of the site Kulturologiya.rf once already had the opportunity to get acquainted with the extraordinary art of sculptor Daniel Arsham - to contemplate his art project "Avalanche" (Avalanche), made to decorate a theater in Miami. But not an avalanche, so to speak, a single one - this author has a whole series of much more interesting projects, where he plays with walls and ceilings, as if deceiving the space. These sculptures in the author's portfolio are highlighted in the block "Three Dimensions"
Glowing Shadows in Photos by Jan Kriwol
