Photocycle "Under the clothes we are women" ('Underneath We Are Women') is a bold experiment that has already won hundreds of fans around the world. This photo cycle is designed to break stereotypes about female beauty. He united 100 representatives of the beautiful half of humanity, who were not afraid to tell and share stories of their lives …
"100 women, 100 bodies, 100 stories" is the slogan of the project, which was launched by Australian photographer Amy D Herrman. As part of this project, she talked with hundreds of women of various social status. All the heroines have only one thing in common - they found the strength to speak boldly about their own body, to love themselves as they are.
The project brought together women whose figures are far from the generally accepted ideal of "90-60-90". There are no beauties with a model appearance, they wear things of different sizes, some of them suffer from ailments, but not one gives up and does not give up. Their main quality is independence from public opinion, from criticism and assessments from outside.
The 'Underneath We Are Women' project is featured on the popular Kickstarter where everyone can donate. With the money raised, it is planned to publish a photobook with a circulation of 400 copies.
Describing the idea of the project, Amy Herman notes: "Ask yourself how much time do you spend on self-deprecation and doubts? Now imagine that all these negative thoughts can be directed towards creation, focus on the things we love, and not hate your own body."
Photos of these beautiful women have already received a huge number of reviews on the Internet. As a rule, girls write with similar doubts, for many of them this is a reason to feel more confident, to look at themselves from the outside, to feel much-needed support.
It is interesting that girls with non-standard appearance sometimes find themselves even in the modeling business. Confirmation of this is our photo review "Terribly beautiful: 9 non-standard models from all over the world"
