Brian Skerry has been a photographer for National Geographic Magazine since 1998. The photographer has the unique ability to capture and capture the most interesting pictures in stark contrasting environments - from tropical coral reefs to Arctic glaciers. In pursuit of subjects for his work, he lived at the bottom of the sea, spent many months abroad sailing on fishing boats, traveled on everything from snowmobiles and canoes to helicopters in order to take photographs.
