Artist Justine Ashbee proves with her creativity that it is not at all necessary to use a lot of special tools and devices to create fantastic works of art - in any case, an ordinary marker is enough for this.
Justine Ashby's paintings are intricate designs of many curved lines of varying thickness. All drawings are done by hand, without the use of any additional tools. “I start with a curl, from which lines and shapes emerge, and then they develop, transform and grow organically,” says the author.
Justine does not think over the structure of his drawings in advance, acting intuitively. She must create completely alone, without thinking about what she is doing. The artist says that while painting, she seems to release some kind of internal energy - and this happens absolutely unconsciously and spontaneously. Most of her work is done with black marker, although there are also colored paintings. Depending on the circumstances, it can take from several hours to several days to create a single image. Among the sources of inspiration, the author highlights three: the ocean, the stars and time.
The artist says that in her work, many curved lines symbolize "traces of human movement and experience in non-linear and imaginary spheres." Through this intuitive visual language, the inner and daily acquired knowledge and experience of a person related to beauty and pleasure are transmitted.
