Hyperrealistic Drawings by Eric Wilson

Eric Wilson Is one of the most talented artists in the world who works in different shades: from oil paints to pastels. He dedicated his life to caring for the environment, and for twenty years now he has been painting hyperrealistic paintings in which he depicts animals listed in the Red Book.

Eric Wilson's childhood was spent in Scotland, he often visited the mountains, which brought up in him a love of nature and wild animals. Back in 1967, his art teacher said a sacramental phrase that Eric is talented beyond his years, and predicted a great future for him. And so it happened: the artist is still honing his skills, painting animals in their natural habitat. Unlike those artists who take photographs as a basis, Eric Wilson always goes on dangerous journeys to observe the life of his "models". Local old-timers often help him in this. Over the past two decades, he has painted lions in South Africa, tigers in Nepal, clouded leopards in Thailand, rhinos in Zimbabwe, wolves in Albert, chimpanzees in Burundi, and even polar bears in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Everywhere - I have been personally to accurately display the flora and fauna surrounding these endangered animals.

It is noteworthy that Eric Wilson is not only engaged in creativity, but also takes an active part in animal welfare programs. So, he makes a lot of efforts to save tigers in India: he donates money to charity, is engaged in educational work. The artist's creative credo commands respect: "If you paint wildlife to earn a living, then the least you can do is give it something in return." Eric Wilson emphasizes that 95 percent of lions in Africa were destroyed by humans, and this is a real tragedy for humanity.

Looking at the drawings by Eric Wilson, it is appropriate to recall another artist in love with the African savannah. Karen Lawrence Row's watercolors are another testament to the beauty and power of the wild.
