Viktor Goryaev is a unique creator of his kind who creates masterpieces at the intersection of painting, sculpture and design. Noble warriors and cunning creatures, embodied in a fantastic plot, are ready to step off the wall and are waiting for just one glance to fully capture your imagination.
Each panel is a real miracle of handicraft thanks to a mixture of the Middle Ages, Gothic, Scandinavian and even oriental motives. You can literally stare at one work for hours, looking for another unique touch among the mass of details.
The creator of these works himself is a native of Krivoy Rog, and a rather secretive person. There is a minimum of unnecessary information in his community, only what is necessary for work. On his personal website, he is also extremely laconic: no descriptions, only reproductions. He even prefers not to indicate the title for the works, rightly believing that this will only limit the viewer's imagination and place the wrong accents. Agree, everyone sees something of their own in any picture, and Victor's creations with a mass of carefully worked out details each time lead the eye through the new intricacies of the composition.
Acquaintance with Viktor Goryaev's gallery is akin to plunging into a good fantasy novel, where some characters may well return once or twice to the nightmares of especially impressionable visitors. The abundance of original fantastic images takes you back into time, opening a window into the world of alternative history. In each work, you can feel some primal spirit, an echo of unknown worlds, forgotten battles and ancient mysterious forces.
Decorative panels made of ceramics are not the only direction in which Victor works: he is an artist with an original manner of work, a master creator of unique interior elements, and even a designer of clothes and shoes. Although his personal exhibitions gave a lot of positive reviews, it turns out that he is more familiar to private connoisseurs of beauty. Many of his works are made to order and, bypassing the general public, remain in private collections.
