Transforming robots - legendary toys on which more than one generation of boys has grown up. Apparently, the years go by, but children's affection remains in the hearts of men: otherwise how can one explain the fact that new sculptures of transformers appear in the world with enviable regularity? For example, recently in China were presented figures of "autobots" made of scrap metal.
In recent years, the Chinese have already become famous for their love of transformers. Giant statues made from scrap metal can be seen at Mr. Iron Robot, created by master Zhu Kefeng, and featured in numerous exhibitions by sculptor Yang Junlin. From now on, another master has appeared, specializing in such an unusual recycling: a 21-year-old student Li Hung, who works part-time at one of the landfills in Jinan (Shandong province). It was he who came up with the idea to create robots in the image and likeness of those that can be seen in the popular cartoon "Autobot".
The first futuristic sculpture, assembled by Li Hung, was so successful that the guy decided not to stop there. In four months, with a group of like-minded people, he built 40 original sculptures. Today, all of them are on display at one of the private farm plots near the city dump (it is noteworthy that, in addition to people, the pigs living on the farm have chosen the formidable transformers).
Li Hung has no doubt that people will appreciate his creations, he strives to show how to make spectacular things out of unnecessary garbage. Despite the fact that all like-minded people of the talented guy are self-taught sculptors who are exclusively engaged in agriculture, the team does an excellent job with their tasks. The guys draw inspiration from the Internet, uploading all sorts of animated images: they choose the robot that they like more and assemble its model. Each new sculpture turns out to be special and not like the previous ones.
The collection of amateur sculptors includes robots such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron. The largest of the transformers weighs about 5 tons; all sculptures are made of scrap metal, in particular, from parts of old cars and motorcycles. Even partially mechanized robots, their arms and legs can move back and forth. The authors note that they are ready to sell their "creations", the price of one robot is about 100,000 yuan ($ 16,000).

Art furniture from scrap metal. Bob Campbell's creations
As you know, markers are different in taste and color. Someone tries bright and juicy colors, someone likes dark and gloomy ones. Someone lives in an apartment with soft and comfortable furniture, while someone likes the hi-tech style in the interior more. Few prefer fountain pens to felt-tip pens, and scrap heaps of scrap metal that industrial designer Bob Campbell, known as Sting, the metal sculptor, turns into incredible tables, chairs and armchairs
Instead of the shore - a dump of cars, or how not to solve environmental problems
"We wanted the best, but it turned out as always!" - it is not a shame, but it is this catch phrase, once uttered by Chernomyrdin, that explains many human actions. River erosion became a major environmental problem in America in the 1950s. A solution was found quickly enough: to prevent the banks from eroding, they began to be reinforced with the bodies of old cars. It was assumed that in this way, further destruction of the coastline could be avoided
