The work of photo colorist Olga Shirnina always evokes bright and strong feelings. True, according to the artist herself, they are not always positive. There are some people who are fundamentally opposed to coloring (coloring) black and white photographs. However, the fact that as a result of her work the photographs seem to come to life, no one disputes. Olga is well known to users of the worldwide network under the nickname Klimbim.

Olga Shirnina is not a professional retoucher. For her, this occupation is a hobby (the famous Klimbim is engaged in translations from German most of the time). According to Olga, the work of a photo colorist is not only about choosing the right shade and carefully applying the effects of a graphic editor. Before directly working with photography, the artist performs painstaking preparation to clarify the historical details - what color were Lenin's eyes, or how exactly the uniform of a Russian officer of the pre-revolutionary era should be painted. Mistakes in such matters can generate criticism from history buffs. However, the result of a successful restoration and coloring of a photograph is always worth the effort and time spent on it.
