During one of his last travels in Iceland to a French photographer Sarah Martinet fortunate enough to be on board a small plane. Being a true professional in her field, Sarah could not miss the opportunity to take pictures of local natural beauty from the air. The result is a stunning series of landscape photographs of the "land of ice" from a bird's eye view.

The small island nation of Iceland is lost in the North Atlantic Ocean. Fantastic natural beauty attracts adventure seekers, romantics and, of course, photographers seeking to capture the majestic beauty of the "land of ice". For example, a Canadian photo artist Elizabeth Gadd dedicated to Iceland some impressive photocycles.

Stunning waterfalls, volcanoes, geysers and icebergs, which Iceland is so rich in, look special from a bird's eye view. Countless rivers meander like snakes between rocky cliffs and bright green plains. The azure lakes stand out in stark contrast to the barren land, and the snow-capped mountain peaks do not lose their grandeur, even when viewed from top to bottom.

Sarah Martinet lives and works in the south of France, near Montpellier. Has been engaged in photography for about six years. “I got interested in photography almost by accident when I was looking for a good wedding photographer. Since then, I have seen this art as a way to escape from the routine of everyday life. This is my breath of fresh air,”the photographer admits.
