Tube lipstick specially made small and light so that it can be hidden even in the smallest women's handbag. But Giant Lipstick tube won't even fit in a suitcase, because it has two and a half meters in height and two hundred kilograms of weight!
Lipstick has evolved over the past few years into a popular artistic medium that can be used to create extraordinary works. Someone draws pictures with oiled lips, and someone with multi-colored tubes. Recent artists include Agne Kisonaite, who has created a huge installation, Giant Lipstick.
Giant Lipstick is a giant tube of lipstick made from over five thousand regular tubes in a variety of colors and shades. Some of them are used open, some are closed.
This installation weighs, as mentioned above, about 200 kilograms, and its height exceeds the height of a person. Thus, Agne Kisonaite wanted to draw people's attention to the problem of waste. After all, even such a small thing as a used tube of lipstick on a global scale can pose a huge environmental problem.
As an example, we can cite the statistical fact according to which four tubes of lipstick are thrown out in the world in one second, which, in absolute terms, is more than 126 million units per year. And all this settles in landfills or even just in nature, because not all garbage is sent to places specially created for it.
Agne Kisonaite encourages people to take responsibility for their shopping and the waste they produce on a daily basis. However, her work Giant Lipstick does not answer the question of what is the alternative to tubes of lipstick. Apparently, everyone should find this answer for himself.
