The exposition of the exhibition draws parallels between the fates of the Russian tsar and the American president - the first abolished serfdom in 1861, and the second gave freedom to slaves 2 years later. And then they both died a violent death. The exhibits include authentic evidence of the most important events from the American and Russian collections - the correspondence between Alexander II and Lincoln, as well as documents that changed the course of history.

The structure is small, but quite representative, the exposition is extremely specific. If we are talking about the royal family, then it immediately tells about the presidential household. The exhibition includes photographs of rulers and their family members, Lincoln's cane and the uniform of Alexander II, as well as an original pen, which was used to sign the manifesto on the abolition of serfdom, and an ink pen, with which Lincoln signed a proclamation on the emancipation of slaves.

A separate part of the exhibition is devoted to diplomatic relations between the two countries. And the exposition ends with a section on the death of Tsar Alexander II and President Abraham Lincoln. You can see the uniform in which the king was dressed during the assassination attempt and the unused ticket to Ford's Theater.

The exhibition will run until March 27.
