Video: Tatyana Lioznova - The Iron Lady of Soviet cinema, who loved, but did not marry
2024 Author: Richard Flannagan | [email protected]. Last modified: 2023-12-15 23:55
Her films have always been poignantly accurate: Seventeen Moments of Spring, Carnival, Three Poplars on Plyushchikha. Strong, bright, truly popular paintings. Only she, a small, fragile woman with a strong character, could take them off. Konstantin Simonov sympathized with her, Archil Gomiashvili was in love, Academician Kirillin offered her a hand and heart. But she never got married.
Iron character
She was 17 when the war began. When Tatyana Mikhailovna's dad went to the front, mother Ida Izrailevna asked him what to do with her daughter. The father, as Tatyana Mikhailovna herself recalled, advised her to allow her daughter to do what she saw fit. Therefore, Ida Izrailevna did not resist when her daughter left the aviation institute after the first semester and in 1943 decided to enter the VGIK at the directing department.
True, she was almost expelled from there at the end of the first half of the year, but Tatyana Mikhailovna here for the first time showed her steely character, showing the teachers her educational work and amazing the mentors with a completely mature approach and the breadth of the director's worldview.
Already in her third year, she participated in the filming of Sergei Gerasimov's film "Young Guard" as an assistant director for actors.
After graduation, the girl was assigned to the Gorky film studio, but very quickly she was fired because of her nationality. However, even the dismissal did not make her abandon the cinema. She worked for a year by trimming friends, and then returned to the film studio and went from a props assistant to a director.
Famous fan
During forced unemployment, Tatyana Lioznova worked part-time in Literaturnaya Gazeta, which was edited by the poet Konstantin Simonov at that time. It was he who drew attention to the fragile living girl, began to show her attention. Naturally, the attention of such a person was pleasant.
When, one day, Konstantin Mikhailovich escorted Tatyana Lioznova home by taxi, Ida Izrailevna severely scolded her daughter. She made it clear: she does not like her daughter's taxi rides at someone else's expense. However, the girl did not particularly oppose, realizing how far they are from each other.
Famous filmmaker
In 1954, Tatiana Lioznova worked as an assistant to director Stanislav Rostotsky in the film "Earth and People". And she even got carried away by her immediate superior.
They became very close during their joint work, but Tatyana Mikhailovna subsequently talked about Rostotsky all the time as a friend. And she cried upon learning of his death.
Test pilot
In 1963, during the filming of the film "The Sky Submits to them", Tatiana Lioznova met test pilot Vasily Koloshenko. He became her reliable friend for life. They will be connected by an invisible thread, and the eldest daughter of Vasily Petrovich Lyudmila will become an adopted daughter and the closest person for Tatyana Mikhailovna.
The director was always worried about Vasily Koloshenko, when he left for tests, she was waiting for him with Lyudmila. He never remained indifferent to the life of his girlfriend, rushing to help at her first call.
Actor of one role
Archil Gomiashvili conquered Tatyana Mikhailovna with beautiful courtship, constant support and help. He was always there at the right time. And I really wanted to star in the role of Stirlitz in "Seventeen Moments of Spring".
When Yulian Semyonov openly pointed out to the director Archil, Tatyana laughed. She clearly saw that this scene was staged, and it was staged very badly.
The actor could not forgive the director Tatyana Lioznova for the humiliating, as it seemed to him, laughter. And he disappeared from her life forever.
Scientist and politician
The romance with the physicist and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR Vladimir Kirillin was beautiful. They could talk about lofty matters, read poetry, go to the theater. Everything went to marriage.
Tatyana Lioznova was just about to shoot her next film "We, the undersigned", and together with Kirillin they watched the performance of the same name at the Moscow Art Theater.
After watching, Vladimir Alekseevich strongly recommended that she give up filming so as not to incur trouble. Tatyana Mikhailovna could not stand the pressure on herself. They separated.
Romance with cinema
Tatyana Lioznova did not avoid relationships and romances, it just so happened that men turned out to be weaker than her. The director, who would have been a match for her, did not meet until the end of her life. Films became her happiness. Tatyana Mikhailovna in an interview called them her children, who are worth her whole life.
Tatyana Lioznova left on September 29, 2011, after a serious illness. Until the last minute, her adopted daughter Lyudmila was nearby.
Tatiana Lioznova has shot only nine films. And she considered it in a sense autobiographical, because the main character was like her sincerity and some kind of childlike spontaneity.

Rogvolodovich, not Rurikovich: Why Prince Yaroslav the Wise did not love the Slavs and did not spare his brothers
In the official historiography, Yaroslav the Wise for a long time appeared to be an almost sinless ruler, the creator of legality in the Russian lands. In our time, he is already accused of sending several of his brothers to the next world in order to occupy the Kiev throne. But was it only the desire for power that drove Prince Yaroslav? If you look at the history of his family, then everything that happens is more like revenge … to his father. Bloody revenge for bloody atrocity
Why Alexander II did not marry the English queen he loved
This romance began suddenly and nearly ruined the plans of the two powers. This story clearly demonstrates how monarchs had to sacrifice real feelings for the sake of state interests. In 1839, the young Queen Victoria ruled in England. At the same time, Tsarevich Alexander was in Europe in search of a bride and even had already looked for a suitable candidate for himself. Nobody thought that representatives of the royal dynasties would fall in love with each other. However, this is exactly what happened
She did not promote the Germans, did not ruin Russia, did not leave the course of Peter: what is Anna Ioannovna accused of in vain?
Anna Ioannovna, niece of Peter the Great, went down in history with a terrible image. For what they just did not reproach the second ruling queen of Russia: for tyranny and ignorance, craving for luxury, indifference to state affairs and for the fact that the dominance of the Germans was in power. Anna Ioannovna had a lot of bad character, but the myth about her as an unsuccessful ruler who gave Russia to be torn apart by foreigners is very far from the real historical picture
Unfulfilled dreams of Alexei Buldakov: Why the main general of cinema did not become a pilot and did not play Beethoven
For 37 years of his film career, Alexey Buldakov managed to play more than 120 roles. However, for fans, he will forever remain the main general of our cinema. The artist, who was "popular" both by official status and, most importantly, by the real attitude of the audience towards him, passed away, having recently celebrated his 68th birthday. In this review, I would like to recall how the creative career began and how the personal life of the actor developed, who created the cinematic image of the beloved Mikhalych
Soviet actresses who could have made a career in the West, but did not break through the Iron Curtain
The Soviet actresses recognized at home were admired abroad as well. They shone at festivals in Cannes and Venice, received rave reviews from foreign critics and ordinary audiences. European and American filmmakers offered them roles and worldwide fame, but representatives of the Soviet government in every possible way hindered the development of the Western career of talented Russian actresses. Soviet cinema is beyond competition - they believed that there are all the possibilities for creative realization here, and the Russians
