What Hitler was a great dictator, possessing an incredible, almost hypnotic, ability to influence the crowd - it's no secret to anyone. But the fact that he was a very strange and shy person who constantly worried about his appearance is not known to many people. Therefore, obsessed with obsessive thoughts, the Fuhrer, acquired a personal photographer in the person Heinrich Hoffmann (Heinrich Hoffmann) honored take pictures of the speaker's rehearsals before performances.
Despite the fact that at times from Hitler's side, he looked like a jester, this did not prevent him from managing the crowd. His gestures, practically worked out to automatism, clearly staged diction and carefully thought out speeches, deftly growing into tirades, fascinated hundreds of thousands of listeners, forcing them to sincerely believe that it was he who would lead them to greatness. Such an oratorical skill, reminiscent of a theatrical performance, required a lot of effort and effort. Therefore, the great Fuhrer spent hours experimenting with various poses and facial expressions in front of the camera, and then looking through photographs to understand how well, bad or ridiculous it all turned out.
In total, about 2 million of these photographs were taken. And, despite the fact that Hitler ordered them to be destroyed, photographer Heinrich Hoffmann hid them in his studio, and then published some of them in his book entitled "Hitler was my friend" ("Hitler Was My Friend"). By the time the Reich disintegrated, all of Hoffmann's work had been seized by the state and transferred to the National Archives.
As strange as it may sound, Hitler was also a man who had a personal life and a beloved woman. Eva Braun dedicated 13 years of her life to the Fuhrer, being his mistress and only a day she was his legal wife. Rare shots from the personal archive of the most famous couple of Nazi Germany, not only make a vivid impression on the viewer, but also transfer to the distant events of the last century …
