Renowned fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg organized a fashion exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the creation of her first dress. It is worth recalling that Diane von Fürstenberg entered the fashion world thanks to the idea of creating a wrap dress at the age of 26. It was the idea of creating clothes that create a scent around a person instead of perfume that became Diana von Fürstenberg's calling card, but played a cruel joke with her.
According to Diana herself, she is somewhat upset that the "wrap dress" has become a real flare for her as a fashion designer. Diana noted that even when her clothes received worldwide recognition and popularity, many recognized her only after they heard that it was she who created the very smelling dress. Such a reputation has always played into her hands, however, as the designer notes, because of such popularity for a long time, interest in her collections was not natural, sometimes it seemed to her that people were attracted to her work not by the result of the work itself, but by her name as a creative artist.
An exhibition in honor of the "wrap dress" will be held in Los Angeles. The event will show fashion collections of clothes of Diana herself and collections of other fashion designers, including beginners. Experts are confident that this exhibition will become a real event in the art world. At the event, you can see paintings by the recognized king of pop art Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, Barbara Kruger, as well as many other artists. The highlight of the program will be the show of the documentary chronicle of 1976, where guests will be able to see the first sample of the "wrap dress". In addition, sketches of drawings that were used to advertise a dress in glossy magazines of that time will allow touching on the history of mobile business.
