Angela Gallo is not only a professional photographer, but also a midwife. That is why she seeks to capture in the photo everything related to pregnancy, childbirth and the joy of motherhood. Angela recently published a selection of photos that she took while giving birth to one of the young mothers. We are glad to show this photo session to our readers.
We recently wrote about annual photography competitionthat seal childbirth, Angela Gallo (Angela Gallo) won the award for "choice of judges." And since July last year, Angela decided to start collecting material - photos and stories - for her book. "Women want changes in our culture, everything related to childbirth. They want to share their experiences. And this is my opportunity to do this, stir up the social and cultural norms of the modern world, and at the same time leave the educational component, leave the reader inspired and interested."
To write her book, Angela Gallo decided to embark on a 6-month journey with her husband and two children and capture what pregnancy, childbirth and childcare look like across cultures. She wants to talk to ordinary people, medical professionals and photographers. Angela wants to write an ode to everyone who deserves it, to talk about the problems that need to be solved, to share personal stories that can give you a look at motherhood from a different angle.
One of the problems that Angela Gallo will touch upon in her book is nursing premature babies. It was also lit by Canadian photographer Red Methot - he presented a series of touching photographs, each of which depicts a child holding a picture taken in the first hours of his life.

Where was Lenin's body taken from the Mausoleum during the Great Patriotic War and how it was preserved
The Great Patriotic War was not a reason to break the tradition of changing the guard at the Mausoleum on Red Square. This ceremony was a kind of symbol of inviolability and an indicator that the people are not broken and are still loyal to their ideals. The townspeople, and the whole world, did not even suspect that the Mausoleum was empty, and the incorruptible body of the leader was taken deep into the rear. The operation was so secret that nothing was known about it until the 1980s, when the “secret” stamp was removed. So where did they take the body

Photos in the car: photos taken by Andrew Bush while driving
For 8 years (from 1989 to 1997) the "co-pilot" of American Andrew Bush was a camera. He firmly settled in the passenger seat and, under the noise, filmed motorists on the right along the course. The resulting photographs in the car show how not only the products of the global automotive industry have changed, but also its owners

"About Russia with Love": Photos about peaceful life in the USSR, taken by a German who was in Soviet captivity
Ervin Volkov (1920-2003) was the son of a German who, during the First World War, was captured by Russia and married to a Petersburg woman, Nadezhda Volkova. Erwin had to repeat the fate of his father - in 1942 he was already captured by the Soviet Union and spent 6 years in the USSR. After that, the journalist and photographer was sent to the GDR, where he worked in the press. Later Erwin returned to the USSR and filmed the report "About Russia with Love"
