The works of the American photo artist (Kim Keever) resemble incredible paintings, looking at which it is difficult to believe that they were all created using improvised means, and not using Photoshop tools. His work is a kaleidoscope of the brightest landscapes and abstractions, dazzling with a variety of colors, colors and shades.
Kim creates truly delightful images that are striking in their beauty and variety of shapes and colors. Using an aquarium, all sorts of small objects, installations, ready-mades, multi-colored paints and lighting, he observes how the colored pigments added to the water begin to interact with each other, forming abstract pictures that resemble some kind of alchemical mystery, allowing imagination and fantasy to roam … After all, what can not be cited among all these intricate patterns and effects: thick clouds, like whipped cotton wool, colorful fabric developing with colored veils in the wind, sea waves rolling ashore, sand dunes, space landscapes, emerald forests, fogs and much more - an integral part of his creativity fighting on the spot with the complexity of the intricacies of forms. And at the sight of the photographs he has created, in the soul of each person there is his own fairy tale, full of secrets, mysteries, magic and miracles.
Despite such an easy, at first glance, style of performance, Kim is one of the most serious specialists capable of creating a landscape miniature, endowing it with soul, life and breath. His works convey not only the mood, but also the atmosphere reigning around, where all objects are in perfect harmony with each other, complement each other, forming unearthly landscapes, looking at which one gets the impression that a little more and you will find yourself there, becoming an integral part of each of them. And the impression is that the wind is blowing, sorting out strands of hair, and the fog settling on the tips of the eyelashes makes you blink often, often, the sound of the surf echoes in your ears, and the crowns of trees going high into the sky sway, rustling foliage … And every time, at such moments you involuntarily feel like a hero of science fiction films or a character in children's books, who finds himself face to face with the world around him, born of unrestrained fantasy …
The world of contemporary art never ceases to amaze with a variety of subjects, styles and genres. Using water and paints, photographers from all over the world create mesmerizing works that will take your breath away and admire the images. After all, paints are capable of taking absolutely any form. You will be convinced of this, where, against a dark background, multi-colored splashes turn into magical flowers, or into cosmic objects. Or the project "Black Hole", in which using a drill and acrylic paints, while, after filling them with colored sand and water.
