The revolutionary events that took place in Petrograd in 1917 were generated by the hardships of the First World War, the difficult economic situation and people's fatigue. This revolution took everyone by surprise. No one had ever imagined that the Russian monarchy would collapse in just a week. That is why the February and the October revolution that followed it caused chaos and turned into a real all-Russian pogrom. The photographs collected in our review show how events developed in Petrograd.
