American maestro Justin Gaffrey - a born artist. But if at the beginning of his creative career he cooked mainly dishes in his own restaurant, then for several years in a row the main dish in the creative kitchen of a certified chef has been amazing volumetric pictures. Other artists paint with paints, and Justin Geffrey, as they say, "sculpts" his works from acrylic paints. The style and theme of the artist's works do not raise doubts that he studied on the example of the Impressionists, in particular, on the paintings of Van Gogh. This is evidenced by the numerous sunflowers that Justin Geffrey paints with pleasure and in large quantities. However, other flowers also take up a lot of space in his portfolio: poppies, chamomiles, water lilies, lilies, as well as unknown wild and forest flowers lost among grasses, bushes and trees. By the way, it is in the fields that stretch along the American highway 30-A that the artist finds inspiration. He comes here to admire the scenery regardless of the season and the weather outside the window.
The author's manner of the artist surprises and delights many. Working exclusively with acrylics, as well as helping himself with a brush and palette knife, Justin Geffrey creates his "sculptures from paint". To do this, he generously anoint the canvas with material, and then forms from it what he wants to depict on the canvas, adding paint as needed. As a result, the paintings are voluminous, textured, a little rough and sloppy, but this is their charm and naturalness. In addition, the media often talk about the artist's unusual paintings, and there is simply no end to those who want to see them with their own eyes, having visited one of the exhibitions that he often arranges in art galleries.
Curiously, Justin Geffrey achieved such amazing success in almost 12 years. You can see his portfolio, rich in colors and paints, on the author's website.

For a long time we have been talking about street art masters. In particular, about those who create unusual, albeit breathtakingly beautiful, graffiti on walls and fences, but about artists who give their creations a "living volume". Kurt Wenner is considered one of the most famous masters of three-dimensional painting. Today - about his works
Original busts of Scott Fife: volumetric cardboard products
Is it possible to turn an old cardboard box into a work of art (a TV costume for a New Year's party in kindergarten does not count)? American sculptor Scott Fife can do it - he makes amazing cardboard busts. All that is needed in order to create beauty is skillful hands and a trained eye. And materials can be the most ingenuous: cardboard, screws, glue
Original street art: a painting painted with a splash of paint
The work of the Chinese artist Hua Tunan is easily recognizable among other street art works. He uses an unusual technique - paint splash painting. One of his last works was the image of a huge leopard. This is not just a portrait on the wall, but a whole art installation within the framework of an ordinary space
Time to paint stones: hyperrealistic painting by Ester Roi
Sea stones have a mystical, attractive power. Remember how Marina Tsvetaeva decided to marry the one who guesses her favorite stone, and Sergei Efron handed her a carnelian bead in return? Well, even the great poetess was not afraid to entrust her fate to chance. So the talented contemporary artist Ester Roi cannot resist the beauty of nature, it is always time for her to paint stones
Paintings painted with paint and gravity. Experimental painting by Amy Shackleton
Canadian 25-year-old artist Amy Shackleton is far from the first artist who does not use brushes in his painting, completely and completely without them. We remember the palette knife painting of Leonid Afremov and the Vietnamese author Phan Thu Trang, the paintings of Tim Patch, painted with a penis, and Natalie Irish, who paints with her lips. And Amy Shackleton helps to create paintings by gravity
