The downside of Ariana Russell's creativity is that her work does not exist for more than one or two hours. It was during this time that the drawings, squeezed out on the skin of the artist herself under pressure, completely disappear, remaining in human memory only in photographs and videos.
Russell herself calls her work dermatography (from the root "dermis" - "skin"). The artist says that her body produces an excessive amount of histamine, and therefore Ariana's skin reacts very sharply to any external influence - scratches, pressure, etc.
Russell claims that she has long come to terms with her shortcomings, and recently decided to turn it into a dignity, turning her own body into the basis for creating unusual visual works.
So now Adriana Rasse regularly draws and squeezes on her own skin a variety of images - realistic and avant-garde, as well as texts, be it quotes from the classics or declarations of love to a loved one.
