There is currently an exhibition of very unusual works by artist Jeff McMillan at the Last Rights Gallery in New York. The series of new paintings, called "Pepto Dismal", depicts the recognizable characters of the fast food restaurant chain, which are presented in a very dark light.
Speaking about the work of Jeff McMillan in general, the artist himself admits that the pop culture of the 80s has a strong influence on his art. The artist believes that this decade has declared itself the best television programs, cartoons, films. This is a decade in which imagination and creativity were at the highest level, this is a time when the world was changing so rapidly in all areas.
Jeff McMillan was born in 1977 in San Jose, where he lived a significant period of his life. He studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, then moved to Southern California, where he continued his studies at the prestigious art design center in Pasadena.
The career of the artist Jeff McMillan is now in full swing, as evidenced by his participation in the most prestigious shows and individual exhibitions since 2007 in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
