The ordinary fork, which we are all used to using at lunch, appeared relatively recently - the first mentions of it date back to the 9th century, which is much later than the mention of a spoon or a knife. But for some reason, this particular cutlery attracts the attention of sculptors from all over the world, who create amazing monuments in his honor, which cause a smile from some spectators and bewilderment from others.
The world's largest plug is located in Springfield, Missouri, USA. The sculptural form, which is 10.7 meters high, was built by an advertising agency that considers this cutlery its mascot. It seems that Americans are big food lovers, because the Springfield Fork is not the only one in this country. There is another one located in the state of New York and standing on the side of the road.
Domestic sculptors do not lag behind foreign masters. Thanks to their efforts, one can observe a three-meter fork in Russian Izhevsk (2004). True, unlike overseas sculptures, our fork is not alone: a dumpling is her company.
And Ukrainian emigrants living in the Canadian town of Glendon could not forget their native dumplings. And they erected a monument to this wonderful dish. Naturally, it was not without a fork.
However, forks exist not only on land, but also in water! One of the strangest monuments is a huge fork, which, thanks to the efforts of the Nestlé corporation, was stuck in the bottom of Lake Geneva. The sculpture, created in 1995 and located opposite the Alimentarium Food Museum and Nestlé headquarters, is called the Food Monument.

Review of unusual monuments from around the world, part 2
There are so many interesting, unusual, amazing, and sometimes strange and incomprehensible things in the world that one can only wonder. And it seems that there would be an opportunity - I would travel far and wide not only my country, but also the most remote corners of foreign states, saturated with impressions and emotions, like a sponge of soapy water. Alas, this is impossible, because if there are enough funds, then there will not be enough time. Therefore, let us recall the parable of woe and Mohammed, and see the second part of the amazing review of neo
