The sculptor Thom Puckey has long and confidently walked the paths in the art world, and his provocative sculptures are a vivid reflection of his experience and skill. British sculptor Tom Puquay creates works of art that combine elements of old aesthetic sensibilities and materials with new content and meaning. The Puqueya sculptures are large-scale marble creations of nude women. But at the same time, they are imbued with the spirit of modernity - innocent girls hold weapons, or are dressed in the hoods of prisoners in the Abu Ghraib prison.
Tom Pukey was born in 1948 in Kent, England. He studied at the Royal College of Art, where he received a master's degree. In 1978 he moved to Amsterdam.
