Young artist and sculptor Peter Gronquist from Auckland - a hereditary creator, since he was born and raised in a family of creative people who are passionate about painting. Therefore, the guy had no choice but to continue the family tradition. Having achieved success in this field, the young sculptor very soon became famous in creative circles, in particular, thanks to a series of amazing sculptures in the form of stuffed animals, armed with horns … The young man began to show interest in creativity quite early. In principle, this often happens with children who grow up in families of artists, designers, sculptors. Developing and improving his talent, Peter Gronquist was educated first at the School of Visual Arts in Portland, and then entered the Institute of Art in San Francisco. It was there that he decided to devote himself to sculpture, not painting, which, in fact, is what he is doing today.
Some fans of non-standard art call Peter Gronquist a hooligan sculptor, whose works are on the verge of surrealism and modern themes on the topic of the day, they combine brutality and sophistication, at the same time being symbols of peace and war. Thus, a slender doe is forced to defend its life with strong horns, which the author turns into a gilded deadly weapon in his sculptures. Not to mention, some of the sculptures have deadly horns topped with the logos of fashion brands such as Gucci or Chanel. Therefore, if you want peace, prepare for war, but do it stylishly, fashionably and easily, as if you are going to a secular party.
However, Peter Gronquist did not completely abandon painting. A talented artist, he paints, combining this creativity with the creation of unique, shocking sculptures, and you can see all this on his author's website.
