In an attempt to materialize his crazy thoughts and ideas, the Lebanese photographer creates amazing surreal pictures in which the main characters are half submerged in water. The main idea of an unusual photo project is to demonstrate the weaknesses, fears and experiences of outwardly beautiful and successful people.
Lara Zankul (Lara zankoul) Is a talented artist and photographer from Lebanon, the author of a stunning collection of unusual photographs in which models are immersed in a kind of aquarium, decorated to resemble a room and half filled with water. As conceived by the photographer, the upper part of the body of a person, remaining on the surface, reflects his strong side, while the fears and experiences of the protagonist materialize under the water.
Lara began her creative activity back in 2008. By 2009, the girl had already prepared her full-fledged art project, which was named «365» … In 2011 Zankul won the competition Shabab Ayyam Competition and gained worldwide fame. Lara's works do not demonstrate the surrounding reality, but are rather a reflection of her own thoughts and ideas. According to the author of the project, the photographs from the presented collection are what would have happened if she had managed to learn how to photograph her own dreams.
