It's amazing how sculptors manage to make marble look like a thin flowing fabric. Especially interesting are everyday objects immortalized in marble and indistinguishable from real ones from afar.
Australian sculptor Alex seton rethinks the legacy of classical sculpture. He uses know-how proven over the centuries to create something modern and easy to understand. His skill is especially vivid in his work with fabrics - the author carves inflatable boats, sheathed musical instruments, furniture and cars, flags, as well as ordinary mattresses and blankets rolled up from the marble. While in the exhibition hall, the viewer does not immediately understand that there is a sculpture in front of him, and not a real object.
