Have you ever wondered what it is like to live in a bunker or dungeon? Modern films and books are full of situations in which this possibility is considered - be it a weak earthquake or even the end of the world. However, some are ready to live underground and in peaceful, calm times.
Of course, you cannot call this mansion, and this type of building we see in the photographs, a bunker. Before us is a house built by SeARCH and Christian Muller Architects. It is located in Switzerland, in the mountainous region, the village of Vals, and it has all the modern and necessary conditions for a normal life. In addition to bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, there is also a living room and a playroom, as well as special opportunities available only in this type of building - for example, an underground passage. It is also interesting to say about how the front of the house looks like. In ordinary mansions, country houses and, moreover, apartments, there is just one door, but here there is a huge oval entrance. You can approach it by stepping on massive steps made of stone, like the house itself, and located on the grass.
Huge floor-to-ceiling windows make the house visible to people passing by, and, in certain bright light, allow you to see the interior of the house. Of course, the walls and ceiling cannot be called ideal - the gray color is unlikely to appeal to many. But no one bothers to repaint everything in the shade you need.
Of course, an obvious minus immediately appears, although only paranoid people can consider it as such. It may seem to them that living in such a house is simply dangerous! We believe that there is simply no such risk and cannot be, because the house is probably designed in such a way that neither the roof nor the walls can collapse. This means that such a project should be!

Nuclear energy policy has long frightened environmentalists around the world. Greenpeace activists (Greanpeace) held an action in Zurich against the construction of another nuclear power plant, this time in the form of a flash mob, in which almost half of the population of the Swiss city took part
Old Switzerland Day in Geneva: Escalade and Cauldron of Chocolate
Switzerland is one of those wonderful European countries in which the memory of the Middle Ages is still alive. A very beautiful holiday that is celebrated there - the Escalade in Geneva - is heavily involved in the events of medieval history. The beginning of December in Geneva is the days during which the spirit of old Switzerland revives, children eat candy "soup" from a chocolate cauldron, teenagers throw flour and eggs, and adults go out to the solemn parade in medieval costumes
How the memory of Suvorov is honored in Switzerland and why the Swiss consider the Russian commander their national hero
The passage of Suvorov and the Russian army through the Alps still boggles the imagination and makes them proud of the fortitude and courage of Russian soldiers. The grateful Swiss honor their memory to this day. Even though Switzerland could not be liberated due to the betrayal of the allies, the noble impulse itself and the sacrifice that the Russian people made in an attempt to do this deserve to be remembered in all generations
The fantastic house of the merchant Ryabushinsky: the mansion in which the writer Gorky was almost forcibly settled
This house on Malaya Nikitskaya Street in Moscow is very original on the outside, but even more extravagant on the inside. I can't even believe that it was created a hundred years ago. It is even more curious that in such a strange building once lived the writer Maxim Gorky, who loved simplicity in everything and certainly did not differ in his love of modernist experiments. However, the writer did not choose such a house for himself: one day he was simply presented with a fact
Underground fashion. Defile underground in Berlin
Berlin Fashion Week is an event that every year brings together thousands of fans of glam fashion cool things and related lifestyle in the capital of Germany. But we have to admit that many fashion shows this year were held at a level below the plinth. Commercials at 11-12 meters. Because these were fashion shows in the very underground - namely in subway cars
