I remember that in my children's company it was customary to share with everyone around me my thoughts about everything around. A frequent topic of thought was the inner content of technology around us. Someone dared to spin daddy's Radiotehnika columns, someone broke alarm clocks, but it seemed to me that all these objects are alive and inside they also have blood and heart and they feel everything … As a result, after a lot of time, an artist named Mads Peitersen (Mads Pieteren), who mysteriously conveyed all my childhood thoughts about life in his works.

Mads Pietersen was born in Denmark, works and now lives in the same place, in Copenhagen. As an artist, he loves Rembrandt, in computer games he prefers Monkey Island II and works with an Intuos 3 Wacom tablet, crayons, and, of course, where without it, uses the great and terrible Adobe Photoshop.

His work is an image of disassembled equipment and gadgets in a form in which few could imagine it. Instead of boards, cables, wires, buttons, spirals and other technological insides, the Pietersen technique has internal organs such as lungs, heart, stomach, intestines. All this looks more than charming with a healthy touch of surrealism. I would be especially pleased to know that my favorite phone, in its free time from calls, looks at me through its little screen, blinking amusingly, and breathes with all its buttons.

In the foreseeable future, Pietersen is going to dismember many more devices, we look forward to it!
