Extravagant yet timelessly elegant architectural designs from a renowned bureau Zaha Hadid Architects enjoy a steady success among fans of modern architecture. The last creation of the British woman was no exception. Zaha Hadid (Zaha Hadid) is a grandiose cultural center for the city of Changsha, China.
Center, the concept of which was unveiled by representatives Zaha Hadid Architects, consists of three basic fragments - the Bolshoi Theater, the Museum of Modern Art and the Hall (also called the Maly Theater). The highlight of the program is, of course, the majestic Bolshoi Theater, designed to accommodate almost two thousand people, and designed, according to the architect, for "international performances."
A cultural center for the city of Changsha, like other most striking projects of the British architect - for example, Coastal Transport Museum in Glasgow, it has an extravagant form. Like many other contemporary artists (for example, Chen-Gela Park), Zaha Hadid belongs to the movement of "deconstructivism". However, the project of the cultural center is distinguished by the softness of forms and organicity within the landscape, which is atypical for deconstructivists; it is no longer quite an "aggressive invasion of the urban environment".
In addition to the giant performance hall itself, the Bolshoi Theater will host bars, restaurants and several VIP-class hotel rooms. The Museum, as you might guess, will host large-scale exhibitions, and the Maly Theater has no specific purpose. A flexible approach allowed Zaha Hadid to create a concept that combines futurism and typically modern (in the words of the official press release) "urban vitality".

It was Lidval's buildings that shaped the new look of St. Petersburg at the beginning of the last century, when the streets of the city began to be actively built up with apartment buildings and other large-scale and bold, for those times, buildings

Future cities: futuristic concept art from various artists
Cities of the future are a very interesting, most important topic and have been implemented very well in films and books. Will it be huge megalopolises with flying cars, devoid of greenery and parks, or giant steel bridges under a dome that protects us from dirty air, or ruins and robots on the streets? Unknown.
