Campaign #BeyondBeauty encourages you to love your body, whatever it may be. Started this project magazine Wear your voice in order to encourage clothing brands to focus on different types of female figures, not just those that look like store mannequins. 18 completely different women took part in the campaign, who had only one thing in common - by the standards of fashion they are completely non-standard.
"Through this campaign, only one product is being promoted - self-love. We encourage respect for our uniqueness, whatever it may be. We dare to look beyond established traditions and what is considered" beautiful today, "we want to see the power that is not only inside, but also covers everything around."
Several series of photographs were taken, including with half-naked models, as well as before-and-after photographs, in which, in fact, nothing changed, since photo correction was not fundamentally used for this campaign. Another series of photographs was taken in the style of advertising campaigns, where the girls have both "Problematic" and "Flawless" appearance.
“As a media tool, we understand the responsibility we play in people's lives,” says the founder of Wear Your Voice magazine. “As a mother of two, I want to be sure that the next generation will not bear our complexes.” Studies show 69% of teenage girls say magazine photos influence their ideal body image. "Advertising photos do not show the existence of models larger than 18".
And although some changes in the fashion world are already taking place - we once wrote about 9 non-standard models - all the same highest paid models - these are tall thin girls, similar in figure to mannequins in stores.

The famous French actor has always been very sober about his appearance. He spoke frankly: “I was doomed to play morons. If I had complexes, I would be lost. " His three daughters and son, if desired, could become photo models, but, despite this, none of the offspring of the star tied fate with the acting profession

It is customary to illustrate fairy tales about Ancient Russia and the Slavic people with images of a tall good fellow with straw-golden hair and a beautiful long beard. But how justified is this pattern? Did the ancient Slav really look like this? Scientists say: not so
Tires are not afraid of dirt and not only dirt. Kumho Creative Advertising
American comedian Sid Cesar was convinced: "The guy who invented the first wheel was an idiot, the guy who invented the other three was a genius." But the agencies that create original ads for cars and auto parts are real creatives. A prime example of this is a series of advertising posters depicting Kumho tires
Men and women, so different and not together: portraits of Tom Hoops (Tom Hoops)
Despite the fact that art does not stand still, there are things that will never change. For example, we will never stop loving black and white portraits of different, beautiful and not so, people whose faces express a variety of emotions. Tom Hoops is another such photographer, and the men and women in his pictures will never be together
Why the Germans did not recognize Soviet women as military personnel and how they mocked the brave Red Army women
From time immemorial, war has been the lot of men. However, the Great Patriotic War refuted this stereotype: thousands of Soviet patriots went to the front and fought for the freedom of the Fatherland on an equal basis with the stronger sex. For the first time, the Nazis faced so many women in the units of the active Red Army, so they did not immediately recognize them as military personnel. Almost throughout the entire war, an order was in force, according to which the Red Army women were equated with partisans and were subject to execution. But many owls
