On June 19, 1945, the actress was born, who is often called by the name of her screen heroine - Leads from "Operation Y" and other adventures of Shurik. Natalia Selezneva she is rarely filmed in films, but each of her roles is a well-aimed hit on the target. Comedies by Leonid Gaidai entered the golden fund of Soviet cinema, and their main characters became all-Union favorites. Few people know that Natalia Selezneva got the role of Lida due to the fact that … she undressed in front of the director.
There were many accidents in the creative life of Natalia Selezneva. Her theatrical debut was due to the fact that she … jumped! At the age of 6, the director of the Theater of the Soviet Army, passing by, caught her playing classics. So the girl was invited to a role in the play "30 pieces of silver". During one of the performances, Agnia Barto appeared in the hall, who at that time was looking for a heroine for the children's comedy "Alyosha Ptitsyn develops character." The young actress liked her so much that she convinced the director A. Granik to take her to one of the roles.
Admission to the Shchukin school was predetermined. But at the exams, the already held actress was disappointed: she prepared a pathetic monologue by Marina Mnishek from Boris Godunov, but during his recitation the members of the selection committee laughed - the young sweet girl looked too funny in the dramatic role. She was accepted into "Pike", but was recommended to work in a comedy role. And the teachers were not mistaken.
About three hundred girls auditioned for the role of "the good girl Lida" from Leonid Gaidai's comedy "Operation Y" and other adventures of Shurik. 18-year-old Natalia Selezneva was approved after a funny incident with an involuntary striptease. The director asked the actress during the audition: “Do you know that in the frame you will need to undress? By the way, how are you with your figure? It seems to be not very good! ". The indignant girl exclaimed: "How is it not very ?!" - and immediately took off her sundress. This "striptease" was so natural and relaxed, but at the same time so chaste and innocent that Gaidai realized: this is exactly what needs to be portrayed in the frame! The plan came true so well that the censors did not even cut this scene from the film.
For several years the actress played in the popular TV show "Zucchini 13 Chairs". Her heroine Mrs. Katarina was a real fashionista, so all Soviet women watched her outfits and hairstyles. Once a friend of the actress brought a mini-skirt from France, and Selezneva decided that it was suitable clothes for Mrs. Katharina. As a result, she was punished with a fine for being too revealing.
The roles of frivolous beauties went to Selezneva in other comedies by Gaidai - "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession" and "It can't be!" Unlike her screen heroines, the actress was distinguished by enviable constancy: all her life she was faithful to one theater (Satire Theater) and one man - her husband Vladimir Andreev. Natalya Selezneva admits: “The most precious thing I have is my family. This is what I do not just work for - I live! We are actors, and sometimes we speak in a raised voice. True, the matter does not come to quarrels: we feel sorry for each other … family life requires mutual respect from people, and if it is not there, then you can go beyond what is permissible, and this is already the first step towards the disintegration of the family."
In addition to the famous "erotic" scene with Natalia Selezneva, Gaidai's film went down in the history of Soviet cinematography thanks to other equally memorable episodes. "Operation" Y "and other adventures of Shurik": how the legendary comedy was filmed
