Officials from Walt Disney have announced that the studio will continue to work on the Star Wars movie epic even after the sequel trilogy and its two spin-offs are released. This information, in particular, was confirmed by Robert Iger, the head of the studio, during a conversation with media representatives. Iger did not specify exactly how many films the studio has planned.

At the moment, according to the head of Walt Disney, there are 4 more films in the plan. These include two episodes - the eighth and ninth, which will be released as part of the new trilogy. Two more films are spin-offs. Nothing is known about future films, nor how many there will be, nor how often Walt Disney plans to release them on the screen. All the studio has said is that they have big plans for Star Wars.

Separately, Disney representatives announced that the studio plans to release films with enviable regularity within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Robert Iger himself said that they can be engaged in the adaptation of comics almost endlessly, since today there are thousands of characters in this universe.

Returning to the Star Wars theme, I would like to pay special attention to the upcoming spin-offs. The first planned movie is called Star Wars: Rogue. The film is due out in December 2016, and its events unfold after the events of Revenge of the Sith.

The second spin-off will be released in 2018 and, according to preliminary data, will tell about Han Solo's youth. As for episodes, the second episode of the new trilogy will be released in December 2017, and the third episode will be tentatively in 2019-2020. The names of the upcoming episodes are not yet known. All films, according to representatives of Walt Disney, are in varying degrees of readiness.
